Victor
Ivanoff was born in Vilna, Russia and lived in South Africa from 1937. A painter of landscapes, figures and animals, particularly horses. He worked in oil and sepia. He was a cartoonist and illustrator for Die Vaderland and other newspapers.
Ivanoff has participated in many group exhibitions and held ten solo exhibitions in the Transvaal. Because of his frequent use use of sepia tones, many of works have a sombre tone which is restful and appealing. |
